ALMOST TOO MUCH TO WRITE ABOUT

Upgrade your email with 1000's of emoticon iconsWe have had a wee bit of rain--very wee.

Well the little 5 lb. Chihuahua is gone.  Perhaps he left home because the wife was due to deliver 4 little offspring any minute and that was probably going to be more than he could supply the food etc. that four would need.  Anyway, what a surprise when I opened the back door at 6 am to let Bud out.   He was so little and so black (with white trim) that I could not believe my eyes.  I hurriedly got Gpa up (he is so good with dogs) and he tried to warm him up and he fixed a box for him with blankets etc.  Bud did not know what to think .  I called the Dog Pound down here on 99 and the gal said someone had called in saying their little dog was missing and she left her tel. # and they gave that to me and I called and I am telling you they are so happy they cannot contain themselves.  They had walked the streets till 1 am calling and looking for him.

We rec. bad news yesterday in the mail.  Our health ins. which we have had for many years is leaving Jackson Co plus a lot of other counties at the end of 2007 so now who will we find.  Perhaps they will not want someone in their 90's!!!!

Kenneth called from his cell on his way home from work this afternoon.  We had a long and very good visit.  Much talk about many subjects.  Galena is not getting enough sleep.  Caedmon wants to eat every 2 to 4 hours!!!!.--but they love him anyway. They put a new roof on their lovely 2 story home.  Thanks so much, Kennth.

I just put Gpa down for a rest.  He has had a long day.  He goes down the steps several times a day--keeps the wood furnace going-so cozy.  I snap the electric furnace on (right from my side of the bed--installed by Gpa) a few min. before I get up.  Gpa cannot carry heavy loads of wood so he brings it in on the hand cart.  Very much better and quite easy for him.  We halp each other.  He takes care of the veggies we have for dinner etc.  Since I went to Win-Co you can be sure we had chicken for dinner.  Only spent $60 something.

Lloyd called at 6:20 this am and when I ans. immediatley--standing by it in the kitchen--Lloyd said, "What are you doing up?"  Larry called a bit ago--waiting for one of the boys--football--they later  go to another school.  They are busy g.parents and you can be sure they are getting the best of care--plus help with homework and to be bed by 8:30--no T.V. .  We have good sons.  Lloyd said Dave will pay his way back to Springfield Mo. to do his daughter's wedding!!!!  soon I think.  Of course he and Helen are going with Dave and the bunch to Mexico next month.  Elmer and Ruby--they are home!!!!  Larry and Linda have trips planned.
Lloyd is not earning any money with all of this traveling.
Will you have time to read this?  I think The Lloyds will have about a dozen folk--there for the church's 50th.

I had better let you catch your breath. Nitey Nite.  gg

And of course Lloyd is home and they are having a housefull of co.--in town for their church's 50th Ann.  There is always good lodging at THE LLOYD SMITH HOME and many folk know that.

I called the Assisted Care Home to inquire about  our old friends THE CARPENTERS and Hazel was back in the Hospital--has not been doing well since she broke her hip--so their only offspring lives in So. Ca. and she has been coming to and fro--very good daughter--so she took her Dad home with her and that is all that I know.  Meanwhile the daughter is paying A LOT for their apt. in the Assisted Care Home.

And Geralding Oeser is worn to a frazzle trying to take care of her friend, Gene, who is not doing well--cancer in three areas.

And today Bud and went shopping at Win-Co--Elmer dear stayed home--in case someone called about the little dog.  So I only spent $60 something.

Then later a friend who lives in a very nice Care Center in Medford called to say (Ellen you will be interested in this) that she ate lunch today with Evelyn and Dick Strellman. They have been living there for 2 months.  Neither are doing very well--very difficult to walk esp. Dick.   They lived in Ashland--made and sold jewelry--Ellen worked for them for a long time and even made jewelry.  We have known them for many years--a lovely couple--met at church.  Our friend, CeCelia said they talked mostly about all of the Smiths--WE ARE SUCH A LOVELY FAMILY!!!That is what they said--they followed all of Brian's  articles in the paper etc.  And they know about our sons and famiies etc.  We will have to go visit them.  Ellen, about how old are they?  I am sure they are younger than we are--everyone is!!
